I-76 uses a three-strand cable median barrier system per CDOT Standard Plan M-614 series with CDOT-approved anchor post spacing and line post intervals. Barrier height and horizontal offset are per CDOT Standard Plans. We install and repair all components including anchor posts, line posts, cable tensioning hardware, and terminal end treatments.

Heavy truck impacts on I-76 cable barrier typically result in multiple broken line posts, cable displacement, and anchor post damage in a single event. We carry cable hardware and line post inventory at our Erie yard for rapid I-76 emergency repair deployment. Most cable barrier repairs after truck impacts can be completed within 4–6 hours of our crew arrival on-site.
