Ideal Fencing Corp installs commercial chain link, ornamental iron, security fencing, automated gates, and wildlife exclusion fencing across Colorado from our Erie headquarters — the state's fastest-growing industrial and commercial construction market. Our work on E-470, along I-25 Front Range industrial corridors, and at the US Air Force Academy south boundary demonstrates the range of Colorado fencing projects our crews handle.

Denver Metro Industrial and Commercial Fencing

The Denver metro area's industrial corridors along E-470, I-76, and the Commerce City/Henderson zone generate the highest commercial fencing demand in Colorado. We install perimeter chain link, 358 anti-climb security fencing, automated cantilever and slide gates, and access control systems for distribution centers, data centers, utilities, and industrial facilities. Our E-470 widening project work includes wildlife fencing, bridge railing, and perimeter security fencing under CDOT contract.

Wildlife Fencing on Colorado Highways

CDOT installs wildlife exclusion fencing on highway projects where vehicle-wildlife collisions are a documented hazard — E-470, I-25 north, and I-70 mountain corridor segments all have wildlife fencing under active maintenance. We install and repair wildlife fencing on E-470 segments, using 8-foot chain link with wildlife offset panels and pinned base to prevent animal burrowing. These installations require coordination with CDOT environmental staff and must meet CDOT's wildlife fence specifications from Standard Special Provisions.

Military Installation and Government Fencing

Colorado's large military presence — Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base, Buckley Space Force Base, and the US Air Force Academy — generates significant demand for DoD-specification perimeter security fencing. Our Colorado Springs division installs perimeter chain link at the US Air Force Academy south boundary line (three miles of institutional chain link), and we serve other military installations with anti-intrusion fencing, vehicle access barriers, and automated gate systems meeting DoD Physical Security standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

We install chain link perimeter fencing in galvanized and vinyl-coated finishes, 358 anti-climb security fencing, ornamental iron and aluminum fencing, automated slide and cantilever gates with card reader and intercom systems, temporary construction fencing, and wildlife exclusion fencing. Our metro clients include data centers, distribution facilities, utilities, schools, and government installations throughout the Denver metro area.

Yes. We install fencing at Fort Carson, the US Air Force Academy, Peterson Space Force Base, and other Colorado military installations. Our crews understand base access protocols, DoD security requirements, and the coordination required with installation facilities management offices and contracting officers.

Yes. We install wildlife exclusion fencing on CDOT E-470 and I-25 corridor projects. Wildlife fencing must meet CDOT's standard special provisions for mesh size, height, offset panel configuration, and pinned base details. We coordinate with CDOT environmental staff on species-specific requirements for each project.

For Colorado's extreme freeze-thaw cycling and UV exposure at altitude, we recommend hot-dip galvanized chain link to ASTM A392 Class 2 or better, with concrete-encased post bases at 42-inch minimum depth along the Front Range and 48-inch depth above 7,000 feet. Ornamental iron should be powder-coated with a zinc primer base coat. PVC vinyl fencing requires impact-modified formulations rated for Colorado's low-temperature conditions.

Yes. We supply and install temporary chain link construction fencing on CDOT and local agency highway projects, including drive-pin base systems for paved areas and ground-driven posts for unpaved work zones. Temporary fencing panels meet CDOT requirements for work zone perimeter security and are installed per approved traffic control plan specifications.
